- Place the driving spindle securely in a vise as shown.
- Snug the angled end of the Pin Drift directly behind and against the pin.
- Holding the pin drift firmly against the pin and using a soft
hammer, strike the rounded end of the Pin Drift – This should
drive the pin out of the spindle.
IMPORTANT – It will be necessary to find the “correct” strike point which will allow the pin to move out most easily. When this “correct” strike point is found, you will notice how easily the Driving Pins can be removed. Please use only the Pin Drift which fits the tool you are working on and use safety glasses.
